Regia: Giulio D’Andrea, Paola Liloia
Anno: 2020
Paese: Italia
Durata: 22′

Plot: Campo Bergamo has had three lives: those of tents, that of containers, that of houses. The most iconic example of social housing in Alta Irpinia was conceived and built after the 1980 earthquake, which razed the province of Avellino to the ground. From the rubble of Lioni to a volunteer camp, from aid to the displaced and to social architecture. The documentary collects the testimonies of some of its inhabitants in the different historical phases and the voices of those who materially contribute to the birth of popular residences. Two communities, the one in Lioni and the one in Bergamo, united in the greatest tragedy of the second half of the twentieth century by an extraordinary and unique solidarity movement. Gratitude and melancholy mix in a succession of memories forty years after the earthquake, in a work that wants to deliver a piece of collective memory to the new generations.
