In organizing the 50th Laceno d’Oro International Film Festival, commitments regarding environmental sustainability were undertaken in accordance with the guidelines set out by the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture.
Specifically, the following measures were adopted:
Detailed information on how to reach the event venues on foot or by public transport has been made available on the Laceno d’Oro website.
To minimize paper waste, the majority of the event’s communication, informational, and promotional materials will be distributed in digital format. The Eventbrite platform was used to book reserved seats for the 500 LACENO D’ORO masterclasses.
Installations, furnishings, and items from previous events were used. In all cases, these elements were made from renewable or recyclable materials, or materials containing recycled content. All edition-specific references featured in the installations were produced on removable substrates.
At all event locations, proper waste sorting was ensured in accordance with the regulations of the Municipality of Avellino and the guidelines provided by the waste collection service providers. Specifically, dedicated bins were set up at all sites for the collection of organic waste, residual waste, paper and cardboard, recyclable multi-materials, and glass.
Guests—particularly those from Italy—were strongly encouraged to travel to the festival by train or coach.
Furthermore, all accommodation used during the event is located in the city of Avellino, within easy walking distance of the festival’s main venues (Cinema Partenio and the former Cinema Eliseo). Dining establishments are also largely situated in the city center, close to both the accommodation and the event venues.
