Plot:On the outskirts of the city of Naples, in a Bagnoli squeezed between the beauty of the Phlegrean coastline and the ruins of the former-Italsider steelworks, two siblings, Federica and Ciro, spend the days of their last summer as teenagers. They are two kids who grew up there, in the shadow of the blast furnace and the island of Nisida. They have a unique relationship with their land, where they spent their childhood and lived their lives as teenagers. Federica and Ciro have dreams that are bigger than themselves, but they are used to putting them aside in a land as beautiful as it is harassed by all the broken promises, by a never completed reclamation and by that mysterious and unreachable factory closed for thirty years now. They both know that when the summer will be over, they will have to take a decision. A choice shared by so many of their peers: stay in Bagnoli or emigrate in search of a future elsewhere. “Flegrea – A future for Bagnoli” tells this story and the story of a neighborhood, of a community that does not give up
