Elegia Meticcia

3 December | 18.00 | Sala 1

Directed by: Maurizio Dall’Acqua
Year: 2021
Country: Italy
Running Time: 50’
Plot: The roar of the waves. Motionless bodies of wooden puppets lie in the scenography laboratory, like souls lost in the sea. Everything is concentrated at the MET, a theater venue with the appearance of a large ship built by the hands of Cantieri Meticci, which is not just a theater company, but a cosmopolitan and migrant art forge, the result of a creative and inclusive coexistence of various cultures, a model of an open society. Through an inspiration linked to the dramaturgical creation of the last show, The Nigger of the “Narcissus” by Conrad, Elegia Meticcia wants to be a declaration of intent, cultural and existential, singular and universal, the artistic transfiguration of the trauma of peoples, made up of struggle and dream, for a free and mestizo society.
