A master of French social and political cinema (À l’attaque!, Le promeneur du champ de Mars, Les Neiges du Kilimanjaro, La villa, Gloria Mundi), a cantor of his native Marseilles. The French director Robert Guédiguian, winner of the “Pier Paolo Pasolini” Lifetime Achievement Award, will open the 48th edition of the Laceno d’Oro International Film Festival in Avellino.
The award dedicated to the founder of the Irpinian film festival will be conferred on 3 December during an award cerimony at the Cinema Partenio (Via Giuseppe Verdi, free entrance).
Robert Guédiguian will be also the subject of a retrospective that includes his most recent film ‘Et la Fête Continue!’.
